Are Nebo flashlights made in the USA?

Last Updated on October 18, 2026

NEBO is a well-known flashlight brand offering rechargeable flashlights, headlamps, work lights, and high-output lighting products. The brand is associated with Alliance Consumer Group, an American company that also owns several other consumer product brands.

But where are NEBO flashlights made? Are they manufactured in the United States, or does the company produce them overseas?

The short answer is that NEBO is an American brand, but its flashlights are generally manufactured overseas, particularly in China. The company’s U.S. headquarters and American brand ownership do not mean every NEBO flashlight is made in the USA.

Let’s look at the company’s background, manufacturing locations, product quality, and popular flashlight options available in 2026.

Where Are NEBO Flashlights Made?

NEBO flashlights are generally manufactured in China, although the brand belongs to a U.S.-based company. The exact country of manufacture can vary by product, so checking the label or packaging is the best way to confirm where a particular flashlight was made.

NEBO is owned by Alliance Consumer Group (ACG), previously known as Alliance Sports Group. The company is headquartered in Roanoke, Texas, USA.

ACG manages several consumer product brands, including NEBO, TRUE, iPROTEC, THAW, and HALO.

NEBO products are developed and marketed by this American company, while manufacturing is largely handled through international production partners.

This approach is common in the flashlight industry. Many U.S. brands rely on overseas factories to produce electronics and lighting equipment at competitive prices.

Important: An American brand name, U.S. patent, or U.S.-based customer support department does not necessarily mean a flashlight was manufactured in America.

Who Owns NEBO Flashlights?

NEBO is owned by Alliance Consumer Group, a consumer products company with roots dating back to 1975.

The NEBO brand was established in 1997 and has expanded its product lineup over the years.

Today, ACG distributes various lighting products, outdoor accessories, and everyday-use tools through its brands.

According to the company’s official FAQ, Alliance Sports Group operates under the Alliance Consumer Group or ACG Brands name.

Are NEBO Flashlights Made in China?

Yes. Many NEBO flashlight products are manufactured in China.

For example, the NEBO 6189 flashlight has been identified as a Chinese-manufactured model, even though the product is associated with U.S. intellectual property.

This distinction is important for buyers who specifically want American-made flashlights.

A product can be designed by an American company and still be manufactured overseas. Similarly, having a U.S. patent doesn’t establish the country where a product was assembled.

Does Chinese Manufacturing Mean Poor Quality?

Not necessarily. Manufacturing location alone doesn’t determine product quality.

A flashlight’s reliability depends on factors such as:

  • Materials: The quality of aluminum, plastic, seals, and other components.
  • LED performance: Brightness, efficiency, and heat management.
  • Battery system: Battery compatibility, charging protection, and runtime.
  • Construction: Resistance to impacts, moisture, and everyday wear.
  • Quality control: Consistency of manufacturing and product testing.

NEBO offers models with aluminum bodies, rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, magnetic bases, and multiple brightness settings.

These features can make the brand a practical choice even for customers who would normally prefer an American-made product.

Are NEBO Flashlights Good Quality?

NEBO flashlights can be a good value for everyday use, camping, vehicle maintenance, and emergency preparedness.

Many models offer useful features without the higher prices often associated with specialized professional flashlight brands.

Advantages of NEBO Flashlights

  • Wide product selection: Compact lights, high-output flashlights, rechargeable headlamps, and work lights.
  • Practical features: Magnetic bases, adjustable beams, multiple lighting modes, and hands-free operation on selected models.
  • Rechargeable options: Many current models offer USB-C charging.
  • Different brightness levels: Choices range from compact, low-output lighting to powerful multi-thousand-lumen models.
  • Accessible pricing: Options are available across different budget levels.

Possible Disadvantages

  • Not generally manufactured in the United States.
  • Water-resistance ratings vary by model.
  • Maximum brightness may be available only for a limited time.
  • Battery replacement and charging arrangements differ between products.
  • Not every model is intended for demanding military or industrial applications.

Some owners also experience issues such as unexpected shutdowns, flickering, or charging problems.

If you’ve experienced those symptoms, read our guide explaining why a NEBO flashlight keeps turning off and how to troubleshoot it.

How Much Do NEBO Flashlights Cost in 2026?

NEBO flashlights are available at different price levels, from affordable compact lights to high-output rechargeable models.

There isn’t one fixed price range for the entire lineup. Small lights can cost considerably less than premium models, while large rechargeable flashlights may cost more than $100.

Prices depend on:

  • Maximum brightness.
  • Battery capacity and charging features.
  • Body construction and durability.
  • Beam distance and available lighting modes.
  • Retailer discounts and product availability.

NEBO occasionally offers promotional discounts, but the discount amount and eligible products change throughout the year.

For current pricing, it’s best to check an authorized retailer or the official NEBO product listings rather than rely on an older advertised price.

How Many Lumens Do NEBO Flashlights Have?

NEBO produces a wide range of flashlights and headlamps with different brightness ratings.

Compact models may offer a few hundred lumens or less, while larger flashlights deliver several thousand lumens.

One of the brand’s best-known high-output products is the NEBO 12K, rated for a maximum output of 12,000 lumens in Turbo mode.

According to NEBO’s product information, the 12K also offers a 7,000-lumen High mode.

Keep in mind that Turbo mode generally doesn’t maintain its maximum brightness throughout the entire battery runtime. High-output flashlights may automatically reduce output to manage heat and battery consumption.

Popular NEBO Flashlight and Headlamp Outputs

NEBO Model Maximum Output Typical Application
NEBO MYCRO 400 400 lumens Camping and hands-free activities
NEBO MYCRO 450 450 lumens Headlamp and cap-light use
NEBO MYCRO 700 700 lumens Outdoor tasks and nighttime activities
NEBO REDLINE RC 1,000 lumens Rechargeable everyday flashlight
NEBO REDLINE BLAST RC 3,200 lumens High-output portable lighting
NEBO 12K 12,000 lumens High-output outdoor lighting

These figures refer to the specified versions, including older models where applicable. Product availability may vary in 2026.

Are NEBO Flashlights Good for Deer Hunting?

Some NEBO flashlights and headlamps are useful for hunting-related activities, particularly models that offer red or green lighting modes.

However, it’s incorrect to assume that deer cannot see red or green light at all.

Deer have different color vision from humans. Their eyes are particularly sensitive to shorter wavelengths, including blue, while their sensitivity to longer red wavelengths is more limited.

That doesn’t make red lighting completely invisible to deer.

Why Hunters Use Red or Green Lights

Red or green lighting can be helpful for several reasons:

  • Night vision: Dim red light can help people preserve dark adaptation during nighttime activities.
  • Reduced glare: Low-output colored lighting may be more comfortable for close-up tasks.
  • Hands-free use: A headlamp makes it easier to organize equipment.
  • Versatility: White and colored modes provide options for different outdoor conditions.

Always check local hunting regulations before using artificial lighting for wildlife-related activities.

NEBO MYCRO Headlamps for Hunting

The NEBO MYCRO series includes compact rechargeable headlamps that can also function as cap lights.

For example, the MYCRO 400 offers six light modes:

  • Turbo: 400 lumens.
  • High: 150 lumens.
  • Medium: 50 lumens.
  • Low: 15 lumens.
  • Green light.
  • Red light.

The MYCRO 400’s Turbo mode is limited to approximately 30 seconds before stepping down to help manage heat and battery use.

Newer MYCRO models also include red and green options. The MYCRO 450 offers 450 lumens with USB-C charging, while the MYCRO 700 provides up to 700 lumens.

For example, see the official MYCRO 450 specifications.

If you’re interested in how colored lights are used in low-light environments, read our guide explaining why red flashlights are used for nighttime activities.

Are NEBO Flashlights Good for Military Use?

Some NEBO flashlights have features useful for demanding professional environments, but suitability for military use depends on the specific application and product specifications.

Military personnel may need flashlights with reliable switches, strong beam intensity, impact resistance, secure carrying options, and dependable battery performance.

A flashlight doesn’t automatically become military-grade simply because it produces more than 1,000 lumens.

Features That Matter for Professional Use

  • Durable construction: Aluminum or reinforced materials that resist everyday impacts.
  • Appropriate beam distance: Sufficient intensity for the intended work.
  • Water and dust resistance: Protection suitable for the operating environment.
  • Battery reliability: Consistent power with compatible replacement or rechargeable batteries.
  • Simple controls: Easy operation while wearing gloves.
  • Multiple brightness modes: Lower-output options for close-up work and battery conservation.

Some NEBO models provide several of these features. However, a specific model’s suitability should be assessed against the relevant professional requirements.

Are Red NEBO Flashlights Useful for Military Activities?

Red light can help preserve human night adaptation when used at low brightness, which is why red lighting appears in some military and outdoor applications.

However, red light isn’t invisible to other people. It can still be detected, especially at higher brightness levels or from nearby.

Similarly, a white flashlight isn’t always inappropriate for professional use. Different circumstances call for different lighting characteristics.

For demanding professional applications, buyers should compare verified specifications, reliability, runtime, and environmental protection rather than relying solely on lumen output or color modes.

How to Tell Whether a NEBO Flashlight Is Made in the USA

If you specifically want an American-made flashlight, don’t rely on the brand’s U.S. headquarters or marketing alone.

Instead, check the following:

  1. Product packaging: Look for a country-of-origin label.
  2. Flashlight body: Inspect any printed or engraved manufacturing information.
  3. Manufacturer documentation: Check the model’s official specifications.
  4. Authorized retailer: Ask for confirmation of the exact item’s manufacturing origin.
  5. Country-of-origin statements: Distinguish between “Designed in the USA” and “Made in the USA.”

If the exact country of manufacture matters to your purchase, confirm it for the specific product rather than assuming it applies to the entire NEBO lineup.
