How to change the battery of a J5 tactical flashlight?
Changing the battery of the J5 tactical flashlight is not a complicated task, but selecting the charger is very important here.
i) Turn the flashlight off
Turning the flashlight off before starting the charge is a must. It keeps the power of the light safe for a long time.
ii) Unscrew the cap at the bottom of the flashlight
The cap on the bottom opens access to the flashlight inside when you unscrew it. Take a suitable screwdriver to remove the screws attached to it.
iii) Remove the battery
After getting access inside, check whether the flashlight’s battery is dead. You have to remove it from the flashlight inside.
iii) Install a new battery

iv) Attach the cap again

i) Discharge the battery
Every battery tells you in the manual how long it may last. But, sometimes, the certainty in the manual does not match the device’s condition. Significantly, if your device is problematic, it may start dimming.
So, you can check it by 100% discharging the battery and charging it again. It will tell you how long the charge lasts.
Caution! Do not completely discharge the battery randomly.
If you get less illumination, you should charge the battery immediately. It will assist you in keeping the battery in good condition. Otherwise, the battery will become damaged soon.
But, it is recommended to discharge the battery at below 2.5V under load. Otherwise, you can discharge it completely once or twice a month.
ii) Charge the battery as soon as possible after every use

iii) Choose an appropriate charger

iv) Do not immerse it in water
The 14500 lithium-ion battery is not waterproof. So, when the rain starts, you should protect the light as soon as possible. It will increase the lifetime of the battery.
